Well known for some of the best family entertainers like Jayam Kondaan, director Kannan is back with yet another film of this genre titled Oru Oorula Rendu Raja that stars Vimal, Soori, Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh in lead roles. D Imman has composed music for this album with five songs with lyrics penned by Yugabharathi and Eknaath.

It’s a usual song and sounds like an introduction track pictured on Vimal and Soori. The song has simple music with punch of neat percussions on the rhythmic approach. Jayamoorthy and M.K. Balaji have crooned the song with an immense energy. D Imman doesn’t strain a lot to add more sound, but keeps it so much pleasing.

Kukkuru Kukkuru

Vocals: Lakshmi Menon & Sathyan

This is indeed the cherry-pick of this album and actress Lakshmi Menon. It’s a great discovery by D Imman and she sounds like someone who has already crossed 100 songs in her discography. She surpasses at an ease and her style of intonation is colossal and perfect. Iniya has performed this song that also features Vimal, Priya Anand and Soori.

Mazhakaatha

Vocals: Haricharan, Vandana Srinivasan & Maria Roe Vincent

Blending folk and western genre of music together, D Imman has delivered a laudable number that keeps you engrossed in many places. Haricharan has become the latest sensation in the music industry and his vocalism adds up the best impact along with Vandana and Maria Roe Vincent.

Odum Rayilai

A medium paced solo track performed by Abhay Jodhpurkar and he stands so much great on track on par with Javed Ali. The lyrics by Yugabharathi are so simple, but gain the height of elegance with the musical score by D Imman.

Sundari Pennae

This song is about the conversation kind of track that revolves around two girls (pictured on Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh). The rhythmic approach is so simple with more emphasis on instrumentals during the interludes. But the intonating style by Shreya Ghoshal becomes the major highlight. Of course, the combination of Imman and Shreya Ghoshal always spell Chartbuster and this one is not an exception.

Analysing the tracks of Oru Oorula Rendu Raja, it is an album that deserves best appraisals. It is not too western or completely rural. D Imman has exactly delivered the songs to the nature of film.
