Ampa Skywalk, is a shopping mall in Chennai, India. With three floors of retail space, it has outlets for major clothing and apparel brands, a 7-screen multiplex, games zone and a food court... The mall is located at Aminjikarai on the banks of Cooum River at the junction of Poonamallee High Road and Nelson Manikkam Road.... The mall is built on a three-acre plot.[1] Built at a cost of INR 1,200 million, the 650,000 sq ft mall features a three-level retail space of 350,000 sq ft. Twenty two shops were opened on the launch day, with the rest opening in a phased manner. There is a 25-m skywalk connecting the ticket boxes to the theatres.[2] The food court in the mall, named F3, can accommodate 650 persons.[3] The mall also has a 10,000 sq ft gaming area and a 20-room boutique hotel run by Auromatrix Hotels. The mall has an eight-level parking lot. The parking lot can accommodate 1,000 cars and 1,000 two-wheelers. .[1] Parking scheme is ridiculous without clear marking or signage. Parking Fee is exorbitantly high even for bikes Rs 25 per hour on weekends.For example: Charges calculated for 61 minutes is for 2 hours and not on pro-rata basis & that too a long queue for exit where queuing time counts. No Safety and security for the vehicles parked. Better to haggle with Chennai auto rather than paying for this kind of unfriendly parking schema.
