Legendary director K Balachander's son Kailasam passed away on August 15 in Chennai. He was suffering from pneumonia and lung diseases. He breathed his last at Apollo hospital despite providing the best medical care. Kailasam is survived by wife Geetha, daughter Vilasini and son Vishnu Bala. He had founded the production house Min Bimbangal. Many celebrities, who know K Balachander and well-wishers of their family, paid their last respects to him at the director's residence in Chennai.
