Aagam - Could Have been Out shined With a Better Screenplay!
REVIEW
Aagam is direction by debut director Vijay Anand Shreeram. The movie Staring Irfan and debut actress Deekshita in lead roles. Jayaprakash, Riyas Khan and Ravi Raja are the supporting actors in the movie. It is produced by Koteeswara Raju under the banner of JYO Star Enterprises. This film is slated to release on 18th March 2016, i.e Today. Vishal Chandrashekhar composed the music for this movie, Manoj done the editing part and Cinematography done by RV Saran.
Film Director Vijay Anand Sriram apparently research for 8 years to make Aagam Movie. He wanted to make a movie that also has a very important social message. This film is about couple of youngsters. The protagonists of Aagam are like 90 % youngsters of India. They want to study here, get a degree and then go abroad to get a better job.
Aagam deals with the issue of intelligent, educated youngsters leaving the country for lucrative careers and more comfortable lifestyles abroad.
STORY
Irfan Mohammad pursues his final year of MBA in a college, and he also runs an organization that enforces the youths not to go to foreign for employment after completing their studies in India. He wants to eradicate the craze towards working in foreign countries.
In the meantime, V Jayaprakash researches a scheme to be followed by the government to make India a superpower. Irfan also helps him in this. Y G Mahendra aims at getting hold of the research of Jayaprakash and hence make money. His son Riyaaz Khan is instrumental in Indian youths going to foreign countries and earns a lot through this.
Though Irfan has the intention of making Indian youths stay in India itself, his brother too is caught in the craze of foreign employment. So Irfan’s brother goes abroad with the help of Riyaaz Khan. But Riyaz Khan gets Irfan’s brother in a problem there. So what does Irfan do to help his brother? What is the outcome of Jayaprakash’s research? Watch the movie to know.
PERFORMANCE
Irfan’s role is brimming with patriotism, and he pulls off his role with ease. Deekshita doesn’t have a strong character. However, she does what is required of her. Riyaz has done his role with negative shades with utter conviction. Jayaprakash has a strong role in this movie. However, the director could have extracted more from him.
It is learned that director Vijay Anand Shreeram has worked on the conception of this movie for around eight years. The director has also appeared in a small role in the film.
Vishal Chandrasekhar’s music is average. The cinematography of R V Saran is commendable.
