Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada - A Perfect Mixture of Love & Action..!
REVIEW
Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, is hitting the screens on Friday, 11 November. The movie is written and directed by ace filmmaker Gautham Menon.
Silambarasan, who had earlier worked with Gautham Menon in blockbuster Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa in 2010, has teamed up with the same director again in Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada. The latest movie has Manjima Mohan playing the female lead. Bollywood actor Bobby Sehgal plays the negative role in the flick, which also has Daniel Balaji, Sathish Krishnan and others in the cast.
Two-time Oscar Award winner AR Rahman has composed the songs. 'Showkali,' 'Rasaali,' 'Avalum Naanum' and 'Thallipogathey' songs have turned out to be chart-busters. Dan Macarthur has handled the cinematography, while Anthony Gonsalves has edited the flick.
The movie revolves around two people and their journey. How they tackle the crucial situations after falling in love is the crux of the story. While the first half is all about romance, the second half is full of action sequences.
STORY
Simbu’s character journey starts after graduating from college and he starts to search a job. Simbu falls in love with Leela( Manjima Mohan). Leela(Manjima) is his sister friend who stays in their home for studies and She wants to live like a Boy. Simbu and Leela (Manjima) goes on a bike road trip and Suddenly, they encounter with an incident that pushes into trouble. How Simbu overcomes fear and rises above is the crux of the story. While the first half is all about romance, the second half is full of action sequences.
PERFORMANCE
The first half of the AYM film is all about romance and the second half is full of action sequences. The songs composed by AR Rahman has garnered a decent response from the music lovers. STR and Manjima Mohan have performed pretty well in the film. One of the greatest plus for the movie is its BGM. AR Rahman has rocked throughout. The first half of the movie is a typical Gautam’s special. The interactions with friends were so genuine and brings a smile on your face. The bike ride with a loved one, which is a dream for many has been portrayed very beautifully.
Some of the action scenes in this movie can be matched with International standards, and he deserves a special round of applause for this effort. But on the other hand, the screenplay could have been better. The surprise factor in the climax is quite unconvincing.
