Probably, Acharam is one of the worst movies of the decade that you can’t even sit through for fifteen minutes. The film is amateurish right from the start till the end and it’s sad to see such movies are made in Kollywood. Why can’t the producer and director invest few more time in knowing what real filmmaking is and what audiences are expecting?

Plot

Ganesh Venkatraman is a honest police officer and he don’t have much interest in knowledge but his mother Rekha pester him to marry a girl and considering her poor health condition, our protagonist accept to marry Poonam Kaur, our heroine.

Poonam Kaur is from Tanjore and she is having a habit of being traditional inside her house and changes herself into ultra modern avatar outside.  Twist is that Poonam Kaur loves Simon but agrees to marry Ganesh Venkat Raman as she doesn’t have courage to tell about her love to her strict dad.

On her marriage day, Poonam Kaur elopes with Simon and devastated Rekha kills herself. Now Ganesh turns into a psycho killer and plans to take revenge against Simon and Poonam

The film is full of cliché except for some good action moment from Ganesh Venkat Raman otherwise this film is a terrible one.

Right from the story, screenplay, dialogues, cinematography, editing everything looks so amateurish in the film.

Poonam Kaur’s lip sync is pathetic, she can’t even pronounce her dialogues right. Ganesh Venkatraman looks good but he couldn’t emote well in sentiment scenes.

The rest of the actors are exactly as bad as the film’s story line and you don’t even relate yourself with the characters on screen.

Bottom Line

Acharam is definitely a sure shot miss and audiences could avoid this film for their own good.
