REVIEW
Amma Kanakku Movie is a remake of super acclaimed Bollywood movie “Nil Battey Sanata” which also done well at the box-office. Ashwini Ayer was directed and written the film while it was scored by Isaignani Ilayaraja. Actor Dhanush was impressed when he saw the official trailer of Hindi version. He immediately decided to produce it in Tamil. Actor Dhanush had been shown a preview of the film by Anand, during a visit to Mumbai in September 2015 and they both choose to co-produce this Movie, with Ashwini Iyer retained as director. Later Amala Paul and Revathi were signed on to play the leading roles, while Samuthirakani also accepted to Play another pivotal role in this Movie.
The Movie started shooting on 7th January 2016 with a launch ceremony held in Chennai and completed on 23rd February 2016. Ilayaraja has composed the music for this movie and given wonderful tune. There are five songs in the movie – Maths Tough, Unakkum Enakkum, Kadavul Padaippil, Kanavugal and Indha Vazhkai. All the audiences are enjoying by listening to the songs. Some feel that background music also has given well.

PERFORMANCE
The movie is yet another meaningful cinema and that too having an interesting social message that will appeal to all the parents and children out there. The film Amma kanakku was very well handled by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, who also did the original version. The director has shown a lot of variations for both the versions and this Tamil film is perfect with its sensibilities and nativity. The film delivers a solid message and fills positive spirit all over. Amma Kanakku describes the importance and prominence of the education for girls and also perfectly make people realize the fact that education brings huge changes for one’s life.
The mother-daughter relationship is portrayed in a very disarmingly simple and heart-warming manner. Everything has come out well in the film that goes well and the emotional scenes were shot nicely. The major highlight in the film is the performances from the lead actors. Everyone does their job perfectly and make us stunned and leave us awe struck. Amala Paul puts on a wonderful and effective performance. Revathy is fabulous in her small yet effective role. National Award winning actor Samuthirakani as the school principal is good in his role. The technical values of the film are so good. Gavemic U Ary’s cinematography is really nice. The art work is amazing. The technical team has worked hard to make the film look amazing. The music by Ilaiyaraja is a bit disappointing as they won’t appeal us.
