Burma - A film that can be enjoyed especially for its crispy and smooth narration

With a slight touch of tinsel town in the screenplay, Burma is surely joining the latest trend setting panache of Tamil Cinema and the film is undoubtedly keeping the audience very much engaged throughout the end.

Story

The main characters of the film are Bhai (Atul Kulkarni), Guna (Sampath), Burma (Michael) and Boomer (Karthik Sabesh). Bhai is a person who takes away the car of people who fails to pay the borrowed money and his darling goon is Guna. The latter uses Burma and Boomer - two youngsters to steal the car and pays them an impossibly low amount of Rs. 100 for each stolen car. Adding to this, the doglike treatment meted out by Guna, agonise Burma and Boomer and the two using their collusive plan, pushes Guna in prison.

Performance

The performance of Atul Kulkarni captures the senses of the audience and his dialogue delivery and body language are quite precise. After Atul Kulkarni, it's Sampath who is stealing the theaters especially with his villainous character. While Michael has tried giving his best, Karthik Sabesh tries to bring the humour quotient. Reshmi Menon looks all bewitching, however, the actress has nothing much to perform in the film.

Plus

Laced with unguessable drama and twists, the film keeps the audience very much engaged until the climax. It is worth mentioning that the director has tried to given his best. Even though the first half seemed to be dull, the second half keeps us very much engaged which is filled with many twist and turns and for this, the writers surely deserves a special mention.

Minus

On the other hand, songs are not that impressive and the script itself does not demand much songs sparing Sudharshan M Kumar from blame.

Overall, Burma is quite an entertainment that runs only for 100 minutes giving out the best drama, twist and surprises.

Verdict : A film that can be enjoyed especially for its crispy and smooth narration

Stars : 2.5/5
