Plot

Charles (Sharan) is a wannabe cricketer and all he wants is to become a cricket in Chennai Super Kings. He meets Karthiga (Jai Quaeheni), who wants to live a practical life and asks him to drop the cricketing ambition so that they could get married. Shafiq(Mishal) becomes a smuggler as he dream of big future which eventually lands him in a trouble.

Now all these three having an issue to solve and above all Karthiga gets kidnapped in mall. Will everyone’s problems ends on a positive note?

The film has two superbly crafted sequences, one is the scene where Shafiq smuggles diamond by giving instruction and escapes from the police officers. Another is the climax where Karthiga escapes from the kidnappers, these two shots are the major positives of the movie.
Performance by the heroine is excellent as she emotes well in the sequences that deserve her expressions to speak. Cinematography is another positive aspect of the film as it perfectly set the mood of the movie and though background score appears to be stolen it induces the racy feel.

All the actors are sleep walk throughout the movie, there is no commendable performance except for the film’s heroine.The dialogues are poorly written and there is not even a single memorable line. The antagonists’ characterization and performances are downright bad that we can’t feel the tense moments in the climax and kidnapping episode.The love portions between both Jai Quaeheni and Sharan are not at all appealing, there is no adorable moment between the lead romantic pairs.

Bottom Line

CSK is a very ordinary movie with decent execution and quick running time.
