Earlier who did direction for the Film Kathakali featuring Vishal in the lead role.  The film Idhu Namma Aalu is being Produced by T. Rajender and the music for the composed by Kuralarasan.

Soori and Jayaprakash portray supporting roles. The other character artists Arjunan Nandakumar and Udhayabhanu Maheswaran have also performed in the movie. The film has been in production since 2013. The hero Silambarasan’s home production – Chimbu Cine Arts has produced the film. The movie in the meanwhile travelled through a lot of controversies, twists and turns.

STORY

The movie is a current scenario love story, where every youngster can relate to a personal experience. Simbu plays a role of an IT guy named Shiva. He is a guy who has a heart breaking love story and a break up with Andrea. You could see a shade of VTV Karthik in the film. This fun loving lover boy falls in love with Nayanthara. And he plans to start his life afresh with her. He marries Nayanthara and hopes for a better luck when it comes to his love life.

The main crux of the story is about a married couple and their relationship which lacks spark and how they bring back the spark in their life? Did his past affect his married life?

Well you will have to watch it in big screen to get the answers.

PERFORMANCE

When it comes to performance, you can literally see Simbu living his character as Shiva. With so much of experience, portraying a fun loving next door boy role is just a cake walk for him. So he easily outshines all the other characters.

Nayantara's screen presence is so colorful. Her on-screen chemistry with Simbu seems very perfect. Andrea Jeremiah looks gorgeous, and her extended cameo provides a fresh angle to the entire love saga.

Well surprisingly Soori makes a best combo with Simbu. He is absolutely an added advantage for the flick. His one liners with Simbu gives a lot of laughing moments to the viewers.

Jayapraksh as Simbu's dad, Udhay Mahesh and Dheepa Ramanujan as Nayan's parents has also given a notable performance. A special appearance from Santhanam and Jai manages to bring smile on the audiences face, adding to the overall feel of the movie.

Pandiraj did not take a complicated story line or a subject which leaves a message. It is such a simple story, but the special thing about this story is that everybody who sees the film can relate it to them at one point or the other.  Without any doubts his dialogues is the backbone of the film.

First half was crisp and entertaining. Editor Praveen KL could have done the same work to the lengthy second half too. Cinematographer Balasubramaniam's brilliant use of colors makes it so pleasant to watch. Kuralarasan has done a decent job for his debut movie. Songs were already a hit and his BGM has also worked out well. So obviously he is going to get busy, and we will soon hear more from him.
