REVIEW

 Iru Mugan is one of the much-awaited movies which had been released today. The movie is a Tamil Science Fiction thriller movie which is also made in Telugu with the title Inkokkadu.

Vikram has paired up with Nayanthara and Nithya Menen in the film, which also stars Nassar, Thambi Ramaiah, Bala, Karunakaran and others in supporting roles. "Iru Mugan" features cinematography by RD Rajasekhar, and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan.

Harris Jayaraj, who has composed the music of Iru Mugan, has churned out three hit songs — Halena, Kannai Vittu and Face Off. Along with the audio, the trailer and teaser have impressed the viewers, thereby generating great interest among film buffs.

STORY

 Vikram did two different roles in the film. One is Love and the other is Akhiln. Love did a negative role in the film, AKhiln is a hero. Actually, Love kills Akhiln wife Meera (Nayanthara ) and his another big mistake is Attacking on Indian Embassy in Malaysia. So, Love becomes a target to Akhiln and Indian Government. Already AKhiln is an Ex- RAW Agent and again gets invited by Indian RAW agent chief Nassar. So for the sake of revenge, for the sake of Nation AKhiln goes to Malaysia along with Ayushi (Nithya Menon). How AKhiln finds love along with Ayushi is the story of the film.

PERFORMANCE

Without any doubt, Vikram rocks. The audience will be impressed with his screen presence and his energetic performance. But, the film has a simple predictable story with no valid points. Neither film story creates curiosity to watch, nor impressed with thrills. Film has an interesting twisty first half followed by an average boring second half. The best parts of the film are Vikram’s Get-ups like all time.

Lead stars performance is highly appreciable. The movie will definitely earn an award for Vikram for his outstanding performances. Nayanthara and Nithya Menon have acted extraordinarily and their performances have proved their individuality. But Anand Shankar wasted the hard work of lead stars with his poor direction and routine story. 

Director must have come with some innovative story so that the audience would love to watch this film again and again. But Some actions scenes, some specific scenes will amaze you for sure. The locations used in the film are quite decent, Harris Jayaraj did excellent job. R.D. Rajasekhar has made the excellent cinematography. Bhuvan Srinivasan has looked after the editing part in a dedicating and sincere manner. The technical team is solid. However, this film is definitely one time watch.
