Ko 2 - Forget KO and Watch it once

REVIEW

Ko2 is one of the most awaited Tamil Political Thriller movie featuring Bobby Simha in the main lead had been released today. The movie is the directorial venture of Sarath who had earlier worked as associate director for the movies Unnaipol Oruvan and Billa 2. Ko 2 is his first movie as a director. Elred Kumar is the main producer of the flick and Jayaraman is the co-producer of Ko2.

Said to be a Political thriller movie, it is learned that the story line was taken with the inspiration of Tollywood movie Prathinidhi in which Nara Rohit played the main lead. The movie Ko2 is directed by Sarath and this is the first movie for Sarath as a director. He worked as associate director for the movies Billa 2 and Unnaipol Oruvan.

The movie is said to be the sequel of earlier released movie Ko which was released in 2011. Nikki Galrani had been roped in to play the female lead while Prakash Raj reprises his role from the first movie Ko. The movie also features other actors like Bala Saravanan as a spoilt son of a powerful man, Ilavarasu, John Vijay, Karunakaran, Bharath Reddy, Mayilsamy, Crane Manohar, Nassar and Shan playing supportive roles.

STORY

The basic story line is too much engaging. Bobby Simha is shown as the common man with the vision to educate the general public of the rights that a citizen in this country possesses along with the responsibilities. The film showcases the story of this average Indian citizen who kidnaps the chief minister of the state. The news goes viral and everyone from Local to Central cabinet starts taking the issue personally. Home Minister appoints Police Commissioner for rescuing CM.

Police officer gets clues about the kidnapper. Simhaa comes out with wacky yet valid demands that mostly deal with Indian politics. The rest of the story is all about the background of Simhaa and why he has kidnapped CM.

PERFORMANCE

All the actors in this movie have put up an impressive show. Bobby Simha enacted his character with finesse, and the same is the case of Nikki Galrani whose glamour has been an added advantage for the film to get the entertaining part.

The show stealer in this anticipated outing is none other than versatile actor Prakash Raj. The actor did his role with perfection, and his screen presence is something unquestionable in nature. Leon James music was common, and there is nothing special about it. Visuals are below normal, and it fails to create a impact in the minds of the viewers.

This new flick carries a relevant social message, but with a mediocre screenplay, it failed to hit the Bull's Eye. Nassar also has played a powerful character in KO 2. Sarath is good at his slick narration, but the screenplay is not that engaging like its predecessor.
