Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru - A Typical Rajesh Movie!
REVIEW
Musician GV Prakash Kumar is transforming himself as a full-time actor and back with his latest movie Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru. It is a fun-filled youth film, directed by M Rajesh, who is known as a comedy specialist.
The movie has Nikki Galrani and Anandhi playing the female leads. Prakash Raj, RJ Balaji, Urvasi, Manobala, Robot Shankar, MS Bhasker, Singam Puli, Mottai Rajendran and many others in the supporting roles. The movie has Sakthi Saravanan's music and Vivek Harshan's editing.
GV Prakash Kumar himself has scored the music for Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru. 'Iravinil Aattam' and 'Locality Boys' songs from the Tamil flick have become hits.
Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru is a road movie that takes off in Chennai and moves on to Goa and Puducherry (Pondicherry). The story revolves around a young man called Kumar, which is played by GV Prakash, who is in the final year of his college.
GV Prakash Kumar's earlier movies were adult comedies and become hits among the mass and youths. But this movie is targeted at all section of audience and it has bagged clean 'U' certificate from the regional censor board.
STORY
Kumar is a ordinary boy who has a good sense of humor. Balaji and Kumar both are very good friends, Kumar falls in love with one beautiful girl named as Priya in this film. One day he propose her but she does not accepted his love proposal. So Kumar gets disappointed and keeps thinking about Priya. Without a choice, Balaji who is a good friend of Kumar comes for help.
He takes both Kumar and Priya to a TV Show, where Gomathi Gopalakrishnan (Urvashi) is the anchor. But ends up, even the anchor couldn't be of any help for Kumar’s love. So for a change and to forget his love Kumar goes for a trip with Balaji. While travelling they meet Manimara (another beautiful girl), who is a police officer. What happen next ? Will Priya accept Kumar love? What will happen between Kumar and Manimara ? are the rest of the story which should be seen in theaters.
PERFORMANCE
Well, there is nothing new. It’s a typical Rajesh movie, where the hero is a hopeless guy (who can never win a girl’s heart in real life) falls in love, gets hurt when rejected for practical and logical reasons, gets drunk, abuses women and finally wins the heroine.
Like any other Rajesh’s movie, this one too has a good comedy track. Many of his one liners obviously brings smile to your face. But the plot? Wish the director comes up with something good and different.
The supporting cast has justified the roles with eminent actor Prakash Raj giving a pretty good amount of weight to the film. Kumar as the lead cast as well as Music composer has done a decent job when compared to his earlier ones. The direction is good, no doubt, with keeping all the threads attached to a single note which helps the audiences to not to distract even for a minute.
