Kidaari - A one time watch for its crispy narration..!
REVIEW
Sasikumar's much-awaited Kidaari has hit the screens on Friday, Sept. 2. The Tamil movie has been written and directed by newbie Prasath Murugesan, who was a former associate to filmmaker Vasantha Balan.
Nikhila Vimal, who had paired up with Sasikumar in his previous movie "Vetrivel", plays the female lead in "Kidaari" and veteran actor Napoleon is making a comeback with this flick. Suja Suja Varunee, OAK Sundar, Vela Ramamurthy, Vasumithra along with three Tamil writers, Vela Ramamurthy, Mu Ramasamy and Vasumithra, are part of the cast. Darbuka Siva is the music director, SR Kathir is the cinematographer and Praveen Anthony is the editor of the movie.
STORY
Kidaari is set in Sattur and Sasikumar plays the title role, which here refers to a rough guy, has a short temper. And the whole story revolves around this guy and how he fought to get beck what is his. The film begins with bigshot Kombiah (Vela Ramamurthy) stabbed in the neck. He cannot scream for help. We see his bloodied hands reach for something he can make a noise with, to draw someone’s attention. And it works. He is saved. After surviving a murder attempt, tries to find out who did it. How he cleared the mystery is the rest of the story.
PERFORMANCE
Sasikumar has the flair for being very much intimidating, his rigid looks, razor sharp eyes, the unfading body language sure gives him the raw look. The director has rather made use of all these ingredients to file up a movie where Kidaari fits in comfortably. With a lot of characters and subplots, the movie requires strong characterization backbone, kudos to the director for having done a lot of extensive work in digging the right cast and adding essence into it. Nikhila Vimal ooks good and emotes well. Does a convincing job as a small town girl.
Darbuka Siva who has composed the songs of the movie has done an excellent job. His BGM was earth shattering, and it has played a crucial role in determining the success of this picture.
Set completely in rural milieu, the extensive lens work of showcasing the countryside and the clashes have been skillfully captured by Kathir.
