Palakkattu Madhavan - Ignore this atrocious attempt

Recently Vadivelu acted as a hero in Eli which is easily the worst movie one could have seen in this year and now Vivek’s Palakkattu Madhavan has outshined it. Yes, the movie is a complete pain that one can’t sit through.

Plot

Palakkattu Madhavan (Vivek)  works at a call center along with his wife Lakshmi (Sonia Aggarwal) but he don’t really like the job for reasons- one he gets paid less comparing to his wife and also because of his boss. In an argument he quits the job and works as a taxi driver, personal assistant to an MLA but both didn’t fetch him the desired result.

Finally Madhavn gets an offer to adopt a granny (Sheela) as his mother through which he will get huge amount as monthly remuneration.

Madhavan invites Sheela to his house but her terms with Lakshmi gets bad and often Madhan’s head rolls between the duo.

Does Madhavan works hard to earn money, how he solves all the issue?

Plus

The second half of the film is slightly better comparing to the first half, also the comedy scenes got better in that particular segment. So if there is a positive about Palakattu Madhavan it would be some of the comic scenes in the second half.

Minus

As the story is wafer thin, we expected the execution to be good but the director send us back to the home only with maximum disappointment.

Right from the story, dialogues, production value, casting everything has been done without any passion or ground work which is very much visible on the screen.

The film really tests our patience and it is almost pitiful to see a talented comedian like Vivek in out of the form, his comedy sequences hardly evoke laughter.

Bottom Line

Overall, Palakkattu Madhavan is a film which could be seen purely at your own risk, we are not recommending this one!

Verdict : Ignore this atrocious attempt

Stars : 1/5
