Selvi - Entertaining! Can watch it once!
REVIEW
Tollywood Romantic action entertainer Babu Bangaram has released in Tamil as Selvi. The Tamil dubbed version of Babu Bangaram has been titled with Heroine name i.e. Selvi. The movie is a complete romantic comedy cum action entertainer. The movie is directed by talented director Maruthi. Daggubati Venkatesh and Nayanthara worked earlier in Lakshmi movie and Thulasi. Both of the movies are a big hit. Now, they paired for the third time with a complete family comedy entertainer.
STORY
The movie has a simple storyline, which we have witnessed before. ACP Krishna (Venkatesh) is on the lookout for a noted criminal Sastry (Jayaprakash). The latter’s daughter is the beautiful Selvi (Nayanthara). ACP falls in love with Selvi but he doesn't reveal her that he is a police officer. Everything is fine.
But ACP who is truly in love with Selvi now has a hidden motive as well - catching Sastry. When Selvi comes to know that he has developed bonding with her to know whereabouts of her father, she breaks up with him. What is the backstory of Sastry? And how ACP reunites with Selvi? You will have to see it in the big screen.
PERFORMANCE
Venkatesh has played double roles in this movie. Jamindar Rayalu and his grandson ACP Krishna in the film and has done justice to both roles. He impresses everyone with his comedy and action and his performance is the highlight of the film. He looks fabulous as ACP Krishna and his comic timing is perfect. However, its quiet boring to hear the same comedy dialogues again and again.
Nayanthara has done justice to her role and her chemistry with Venky is one of the highlights of the film. Sampath Raj, Murali Sharma, Posani Krishna Murali, Vennela Kishore and Prudhviraj are also the assets of the movie. Richard Prasad has beautifuly picturized, the brilliant choreography of action scenes are the big attractions on the technical front.
