Sowkarpettai is a 2016 Tamil horror Movie, Which is directed by Vadivudaiyan and Jointly Produced by John Max, Jones under the banners of Sri Thenandal films and Frames Inevitable. Music of this movie is composed by John Peter. The cinematography handled by S. Sreenivasa Reddy and edited by Elisa. The film features Srikanth and Lakshmi Rai in the leading roles. This Movie is being made in Three Languages – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. In Telugu the film has been titled as ‘Siva Ganga’ and ‘Tantra Shakthi’ in Hindi.

STORY

Sowkarpettai Film is associate usual story. However the treatment is totally different. 2 lovers were killed by villains and that they came back as spirits to get their revenge. How they kill those villains is rest of the story. Sowkarpettai movie is a mixture of Horror, love, emotions, sentiments and thrilling commercial film. The movie story revolves around in Chennai, Sowkarpettai. Usually, horror movies show ghosts as creatures of the dark, but it is quite the opposite in villages, they have the belief that ghosts would love to wait for someone about during mid-day. So, the movie has been shot in such a way that ghosts will appear during the day.

PERFORMANCE

The lead stars of the film managed to perform well. Rai Lakshmi has done a wonderful job. But frankly her acting was just wasted. Even the movie has experience and senior stars, but the major role was played by female lead Laxmi Rai itself. We can connect laxmi rai with each and every scene of the film, because she had covered and dominated every role in the film. The movie is made with improper story, and even if the movie had proper story the director and editor failed to narrate the story in a way that gets connected with audience. The costumes and makeup used for Rai Lakshmi are really great and appreciable. They are completely unique and they didn’t use in any of the horror films in the past. Graphics is really highlights of this movie and it may give an excitement, at the time of watching the film.
