The Conjuring 2 - Scary!

REVIEW

Seven years after the Amityville horror case, a single mother named Peggy in North London is terrorized similarly. She and four children live in a haunted house and a whey-faced nun wants their blood. Can demonologists Ed and Lorraine save them? You will have to watch in the big screen.

STORY

The movie takes us to the house where mother lives with her 4 kids. They come across with unusual symptoms in the house. Outsiders do not believe in that. Many of them tell they are lying. A couple who are paranormal investigators came to know about the abnormal behaviors visit the house. They too did not believe until they see signs from her youngest daughter. The young girl will be targeted by evil and she will ruled by demonic possession. The battle of the family to find the evil and get rid of it with the help of a couple is the rest of the story with great twist.

PERFORMANCE

Audiences who are watching the movie in theatres are really electrified in the seat. This is not like other horror thrillers that threaten us with ugly faces and other usual elements of horror. The audience does not judge whether they are watching real happenings are it is mere a story. Many times they will jump out of their seats. The sound effects are one of the important elements to watch any horror movies. Particularly this movie has best back ground score that matches the scenes.

Director James Wan has little to offer in terms of surprises as the shocks mirror the ones from the prequel. But his smartness rescues a film that could've labelled predictable. The camera work is impeccable and his passion to create something fearsome is overwhelming. Some sharp editing could've helped the drama from getting loopy, but that's hardly a downer. Another shortcoming is the story's inability to clearly differentiate between the world of apparitions and our material one. Ed and Lorraine played beautifully by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga and the superlative Madison Wolfe, are show stealers.
