It’s Okay to attempt new things but things should not be necessarily explicit to convey the issue. Debut director Nimesh Varshan’s Thiranthidu Seese is a film about pub, booze, girls and drunkards told in an over the top manner and sometimes it look subtle and convincing.

Plot

As the title say, just like how MGR opens the cave of Alibabavum narbathu Thirutargalum, here a pub opens with the entry of Dhanshika. Two waiters in the pub Narayan and Vairavan Stalin wants to seduce her and after some time we are shown that Dhanshikaa was unconscious and she feels that someone has sexually assaulted and raped her.Dhanshikaa is having a gun and tell them that she will pull the trigger at any point if they don’t tell her the truth on who raped her.So who actually raped Dhansika? No one… it’s all set up says the story in the second half. Well, the joke is on the audience.

Plus

The film’s positives are some of the bold dialogues uttered by Dhansikaaa and also Narayan’s comic timing. Whenever Narayan utters an ‘A’ joke audience are burst into laughter which might help the film to some extent.

The Cinematography is quite good and the background score as well.The first half of the film was somewhat entertaining and it might be loved by the youngsters which is a major plus.

Minus

The film’s second half is a total letdown as the director loses his stream in the midway and started to teach lessons on drunkards and addicts.Also the other lead actor Vairavan Stalin has given over the top performance in those sequences.

The intentional twist kept at the end of the movie is also not convincing and it has been done to make sure that audience should not predict anything.

Bottom Line

Thiranthitu Seese is a very below par thriller which might not engage audience who are exposed to that genre.
