Director Rajesh’s first three films including Siva Manasula Sakthi, Boss Engira Baskaran and Oru Kal Kannadi were big hits. But the director faced a lot of flak for his All in all Azhaguraja and now he is back with yet another mindless comedy entertainer called Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga. Does he succeed in it? Plot:

Vasu (Santhanam) and Arya (Saravanan) are close friends, they run a mobile shop called Vasa and things are good till Vasu gets married to Seema (Banu). Seema hates Saravanan right from the first meeting and he wants Vasu to cut the friendship. 

Now Vasu, sketches a plan to set a girl for Saravanan and our hero meets Aishwarya Balakrishnan (Tamanna). Though Aishwarya ignores Saravanan, she finally falls in love with him. But again, Aishwarya hates Vasu and wants her lover to cut the friendship.

So what exactly happens? Watch out…

Possitves:

Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga’s biggest plus point is Santhanam, the actor is in terrific form and his comic one liner has worked out big time.

Arya has again repeated his Boss Engira Baskaran act and his combination scenes with Santhanam are a treat to watch.

Tamanna looks beautiful in the film and has also tried her hands in comedy.

The rest of the cast including Vidyu Raman, Saminathan and Karunakaran have also done a good job in the film.

Nirav Shah’s colorful cinematography and Imman’s cheerful music are also the lynchpins in this time pass movie.

Negatives:

The wafer thin story line is definitely a big negative for the movie. Though director Rajesh is good in comic writing, we expect him to come out with better plot

Sentiment scenes with the clichéd conversations between the two pairs, Santhanam-Banu and Arya-Tamanna are also a big let down and didn’t work out.

Bottom Line

Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga is yet another typical Rajesh entertainer which guarantees good laughter.
